Side Entry Mixers

Mixtec’s 5000 Series consists of various ranges of side entry mixers, the 5050, 5000, and 5500.

The 5000 Series mixers are simple pedestal mixers incorporating a shut-off device for easy seal maintenance, mounted horizontally with the seal arrangement of the customers choosing.

• Compact design, suitable for applications with limited space.

The 5050 series is a Direct Drive side entry mixer for smaller simpler applications that do not require complicated sealing arrangements.

• Direct Drive side entry mixer for basic applications with simple sealing needs.

5500 Series

• Larger, more robust configuration for heavier-duty applications.

The Mixtec 5500 Series mixers are used for pulp homogenization. Belt-driven, these focus intense mixing around fluid injection points to keep the tank contents even. The built-in mechanical seals prevent leaks, and the shut-off devices make seal replacement easy when needed, cutting down on downtime and keeping things running smoothly.

Shut off Device Option

Mixtec side-entry mixers are available in two designs: a standard side-entry mixer and a side-entry mixer fitted with a shutoff device.

With the standard side-entry mixer, the tank must be drained in order to access and replace the mechanical seal. In contrast, Mixtec’s new and improved side-entry mixer with a shutoff device allows the mechanical seal to be replaced without draining the tank.

The advantages of this design include reduced downtime, easier maintenance, and minimized product loss.
